Versatile Texture Mapping

Unlimited Texture Layering. Add any number of 2d and 3d textures per material. Blend and modulate textures from layer to layer. Each texture can be aligned and sized individually.

Interactive 2d Texture Placement. Texture coordinates and U/V tangent vectors can be interactively assigned to objects using 4 types of selectable projections (box, planar, cylindrical or spherical). All built-in primitives have automatic texture coordinates and U/V tangent vectors.

3d Texture Editor. Choose from any one of 47 Perlin and Peachy 3D procedural texture functions (wood, marble, waves, etc) then interactively modify the parameters to create an unlimited number of new 3d textures. Online 24-bit snapshots and documentation accompany each predefined texture.

2d Texture Editor. Import a 2d bitmap texture from a variety of standard formats (2-bit through 32-bit JPEG, TIFF or TARGA, or 8-bit BMP, CEL, FLC, FLI, or GIF files), then enable texture filtering (MIPmap or Bilinear), interactively crop the image and adjust the alpha channel source. Bitmap preview icons. Online imager viewer.

Global and local control over texture filtering type. Use point sampling, bilinear filtering or analytic MIPmap filtering for high quality texture rendering. MIPmap filtering creates pyramid layers on-demand to reduce memory usage.

Full Alpha Channel Support. Use a texture's alpha channel to perform decal mapping or to change the transparency of an object.
